Cartoon Desk
The Explained PH Cartooning Desk is the creative unit within Explained PH that produces editorial cartoons and visual content to explain national, social, and political issues. Its purpose is to inspire thoughtful academic discourse through visual storytelling.
Creating original editorial cartoons, comics, graphic illustrations, and animations on current issues.
Collaborating with opinion writers to champion the publication’s stance on a particular issue or subject matter.
Researching topics to ensure accuracy and relevance.
Developing concepts and visual narratives.
Upholding ethical standards of responsible storytelling.
Meeting publication deadlines and content calendars.
Coordinate with other staffers, volunteers, and desk editor.
Attend and actively engage in monthly desk meetings.
Draw with purpose.
