Community Division

The Community Division is a core tenet of the organization in establishing and pursuing our advocacies beyond competitions and medals, dedicated to connecting and building precious relationships with campus journalists, school paper advisers, schools, and campus journalism organizations. The division creates social media campaigns and events to (1) bolster the spread and discussion of our advocacies, (2) to provide FREE opportunities for campus journalists to learn and showcase their skills, (3) bolster our social media presence.

Brainstorm engaging social media content for campus journalists. (Prompt cards, Instagram story templates, TikTok trends, online competitions, polls, fun facts, etc.)
Be updated with campus journalism trends, issues, and stakeholders (CJs, publications)
Plan, organize, and execute events (forums, FGDs, lectures)
Maintain good internal relations and coordinate with other divisions.
Collaborate to brainstorm, organize, and execute events like forums, focus group discussions, and lectures.
Track campaign metrics (reach, participation, feedback) and report outcomes.
Promote specific advocacies: press freedom, journalist well‑being, digital literacy, ethical reporting.
Moderate community discussions and handle sensitive issues constructively.
Join, engage, and boost content created by the organization.
