The Features and Lifestyle Desk aims to humanize. We publish human-interest, trend, and community stories, alongside social commentary, and literary pieces as we serve as the heart of the organization. Stories in this desk are not merely written, but are felt, lived, and remembered. We strive to connect deeply with our readers by capturing the quiet truths of everyday life... the unseen struggles, the fleeting joys, and the voices often left unheard. Every story is truthful and meaningful, because we tell stories to remind people what it means to be human.
Produce at least one full-length feature article every two months and one short form or literary piece every three weeks while ensuring consistency in output and quality.
Attend and actively engage in monthly desk meetings, contributing ideas and feedback.
Apply strong writing skills and storytelling experience in crafting compelling feature pieces.
Practice a disciplined work ethic by meeting deadlines and maintaining writing quality.
Pursue meaningful, human-centered stories with depth and purpose.
Write with an active, engaging voice that resonates with readers.
Collaborate effectively with fellow writers, editors, and creatives as a team player.
Balance personal inspiration with the responsibility to inspire others through consistent effort and storytelling.
